Fee Drag

The same force that grows your money can shrink it. A “small” yearly fee compounds against you — and over decades it takes a startling bite.

Enter the amounts, the return, and a fee, then press Calculate.
From the book — Chapter 8. A fee comes off your return every year, so you don’t just lose the fee — you lose all the growth that money would have earned, compounded for the rest of the time. That’s why 1% a year can quietly cost a fifth or more of a long-run balance. The fix is the same arithmetic, read in reverse: keep the fee low.

Compounded monthly; the fee is modelled as a straight reduction in the yearly return. Illustrative, not investment advice. Everything stays in your browser.
