Growing Season Planner

Two dates run your whole year: the last spring frost and the first autumn one. Put them in and every crop gets a seed-starting date, a harvest date, and a deadline past which it will not finish in time.

Set both frost dates.

Crops

Days to maturity is on the seed packet. Weeks indoors is 0 for anything you direct-sow. Transplant offset is how many days after the last frost you put it out.

Succession sowing

Set a maturity time and an interval.
From the book — Chapter 5. Season length is simply first frost − last frost. Harvest date is planting date + days to maturity — counted from transplant for things you start indoors, from emergence for things you direct-sow. The last sensible planting day is first frost − days to maturity; past that, the crop runs out of season. And seed-starting is that chain run backwards: transplant date minus the weeks indoors, with 7–10 days on the end for hardening off.

Frost dates are averages, not promises — keep row covers handy for a late surprise. Everything stays in your browser.
